From mid-August to mid-September 2026, the FOUVRY-73 programme brought together researchers from around the world at the Bernoulli Center for four weeks of learning, scientific exchange and collaboration.

Thanks to the collaboration between CIMPA and the Bernoulli Center, three young researchers from developing countries were supported in their participation in the programme:

• Prabhat Kumar Mishra, Indian Institute of Technology Jammu, India
• Caio Bueno, Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Brazil
• Johnathan Djella Legnongo, Assane Seck University of Ziguinchor (UASZ), Senegal

Their four-week experience included two weeks of summer school, followed by a conference week and a research week.
This structure gave the participants the opportunity to deepen their knowledge through the summer school, exchange ideas and engage with the wider research community during the conference, and finally dedicate time to research and scientific discussions during the research week.

The programme provided a stimulating international environment in which the three researchers could meet mathematicians from different countries and institutions, exchange perspectives, and develop new scientific connections.

The collaboration between CIMPA and the Bernoulli Center plays an important role in facilitating the participation of young researchers from developing countries in international mathematical programmes.

By supporting their mobility and access to research networks, the initiative contributes to strengthening international collaboration and fostering the next generation of mathematicians.
