For the closing of the special semester on fluid mechanics running from July 1 to December 31, 2006, a conference entitled "Perspectives in fluid dynamics" will take place between Monday, December 04 and Friday, December 08, 2006, at the Centre Bernoulli of the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne.

The purpose of this conference is to bring together researchers with different backgrounds and with various points of views on problems related to fluid dynamics.

In addition to these one hour talks, a poster session will be organized. The posters will be accessible to the participants during the whole week. All participants are encouraged to present a poster communication (poster submission form).

Financial aid to cover the local expenses is available for doctoral students and young researchers. Those who are interested should apply for financial assistance here (financial form). Applications sent directly to the organizers will not be considered.

The participants should register directly on the Web (registration form). There are no registration fees.

Neither the organizers nor the Bernoulli Center staff can arrange the accommodation for the participants. However, special prices for hotel rooms are available to the participants at the conference. These special rates have been negotiated by the Bernoulli Center. The participants can contact directly one of the hotels given in the list (hotel list), by indicating that they are attending this conference at Centre Interfacultaire Bernoulli.

A conference dinner will be organized on Wednesday evening, December 06. Dinner reservations will be made at the welcome desk on Monday, December 04.
